Key Program Features

  1. Programs offer a wide variety of academic, recreational, social, and cultural activities consistent with our mission to meet the interests of all students.
  2. We partner with the existing elementary school or junior secondary school to use their facilities for academic enrichment and a dedicated space to house the key parts of the program.
  3. We solicit volunteers such as local teachers, retirees, SHS, and university students to run the various programs in order to minimize administrative costs, maximize resources allocated to students programs and promote community engagement.
  4. Students in the program engage in peer-to-peer teaching.  We enlist high-achieving Senior High School(SHS)  students who will form part of our peer-to-peer teaching teams and help teach JSS  students while JHS students teach primary students.
  5. Students graduating from the program into SHS will be offered mentors to guide them through SHS and beyond.
  6. Alumni from the programs are encouraged to become volunteers and sponsors and have representation on the local Executive Board.
  7. The programs are free. There is no direct cost to students or their parents for participating in any of the Hope Academy programs.
